Fabric Braiding Class

Come Join Meghan from La Belle Maison for a two and a half hour braiding extravaganza! Have you been wanting your very own braided tablemat that you made, but sewing is not in your skill set? No problem! This class is for all you non sewers and or not so good sewers! This session will be spent learning how to braid, how to piece in strips of fabric, and how to make it even and flat so that it will last. All fabrics will be provided by Meghan, but if you have particular broadcloth fabric like sheets or quilting fabric that you would like to use you may bring that with you (uncut). At the end of our class you will have the option of bringing your braid home with you if you would like to try sewing it yourself, either by hand or machine, or sending your braid home with Meghan for her to sew it into a sturdy tablemat that will withstand the test of time (for an additional fee depended on length of braid/time). There will also be objects and ideas shared for what to do with your braid if a table mat doesn’t appeal to you.
